Russell Falls the perfect day trip from Hobart City

Updated: Oct 2

Taking a day trip out of Hobart, Russell Falls is a short 78 Km drive. The Russell Falls, a tiered–cascade waterfall on the Russell Falls Creek, is located in the Central Highlands region of Tasmania, Australia .

We have done this day trip many times. You, first of all have breakfast at Jampacked cafe (Book), order your picnic Hamper from the

Jam Packed Website, where we will have it ready for your trip the next day. Or if you miss the cut off simply arrive at Jam Packed and we will make it for you whilst you wait.

Russell falls is an easy walk for all levels of fitness. If you would like to do the tall trees walk there are steps that are not wheelchair friendly

The Forrest is a beautiful space to unwind and imerser your self and unwind from your busy life.

We would advice that you buy a pass to the national parks as the costs for a casual visit are high.

Here is a link for things to do at Russell Falls

There is a cafe at the visitors center but outside of that there are few food options, so book your picnic hamper now.
